Woke up to this on Monday. So that's not creepy at all.
This week was the last week of labs for me. We had our last Chem lab and our last Bio lab and it was a bit sad to say goodbye to my drawer of test tubes and beakers. They've served me well over the last semester or so. Found out an interesting tid bit of information in chem lab. I was sitting there at the sink, rinsing and cleaning my test tubes when this guy from my class walked over to clean his as well. We were standing there cleaning while chatting a bit about how happy we were that chemistry was almost over. After a while he got kind of quiet and asked me "Can I ask you something?" Of course I told him he could and he asked, "What's your name?" Now I can't blame him for this. I barely talk to people in class except for once and a while with the people around me. Sorry, I'm not exactly a social butterfly. So I laughed and let him know that my name was Lisa. He then went on to tell me that the whole semester he and everyone else in the class have just been calling me 'Katniss'.
Katniss. The whole class has been calling me Katniss... the whole semester! It's the arrows. Tuesdays and Thursdays I have archery after chemistry so I always have them sticking out of my backpack. Again, I can't blame this guy, there's honestly no way I could have expected him to know my real name.
With how crazy this week has been, I have still found time to finish the batman sock monkey I was making for Mary. Looks a whole lot better than the first one I made, right? I'm getting faster at making them and I have more ideas than just batman. Maybe over the break I'll find time to actually do something with those ideas.
Another Mary related note, everyone in the apartment took the color personality test. She had to take it in one of her classes and was upset that she got red and asked her teacher to email the test to her so she could take it again. She's still most definitely red. She sent us all the email as well because she wanted to see what colors we all were. I was white. This is what it says about whites:
Whites are steady (and comprise about 60% of society)
-prefer a controlled, predictable, unchanging environment
-take the passive approach, would never rock the boat
-accept life comfortably; compatible with others
-are loyal to their job, spouse
-calm under pressure, but like a slower pace
-possessive (I have my job, you have yours)
-liked by most people
-bashful or unsure; prefers to observe others interact
-unwilling to take responsibility for self; dislikes taking a stand on issues
WANT: status quo, security of situation, time to adjust if change occurs, appreciation, identification with a group, a standard work pattern, limited territory, areas of specialization, don't want to be expected to know everything
FEAR: Loss of security (loss of status quo)
Okay. There are a few things that I really disagree with.
Although the 'prefers to observe others interact' is spot on, the constant 'wanting an unchanging environment' is so wrong. If there's anything I crave right now, it's change. yeah, yeah, when I was little, I used to cry over us getting new floors in our kitchen. I'm not like that anymore. Well tests aren't always 100% accurate.
Friday the Game of Thrones board game was finally played. I played it even though I was very scared of the fact that I had no idea what I was doing. I won. I change my mind, I like these strategy games.
Other than that, this weekend has been full of studying, hw, getting my car fixed (my a/c now works fantastically!). Probably less studying than what I should be doing but today I'm going to force myself to get things done. Locking myself in a room with no toys and just textbooks. It should work.
I have a chem exam on Monday.
I have an archery exam on Tuesday.
I have a biology exam on Wednesday.
I have a biology final AND a chem final on Thursday.
Between all this I'm still trying to downsize, sell stuff, and pack everything away.
ah ha, no, I don't know how I'm going to do all of that either.
P.s. I almost forgot! The family reunion was this weekend! They've had it in Rexburg for the last few years so I've always gotten to go while I've been here at school. The only problem is, it's always right before finals, I needed to study but I still went for a few hours or so. Since it's my grandmother's side and technically a 'Hill' family reunion, I never actually don't know that many people. I knew my grandparents and my cousins, Joe and Julie (plus little Alyssa) so I pretty much just chilled with them them. They really weren't interested in me, all they wanted to know about was Kyle. Good thing he missed that bullet.
Doesn't Alyssa look like she's having so much fun?

Bahahah Katniss. Good luck with your finals!!!!!!!!!
