Guess what? Element #114 and #116 finally got their names this week! It only took a few years but that's what you get when you're dealing with chemists.

#114 Fl,  Flerovium
#116 Lv,  Livermorium

Exciting stuff, right there. I'm pretty sure you can tell these names were thought up by chemists because they aren't really creative. Livermor, I do believe, was the name of the laboratory that Livermorium was synthesized. If it were up to me, I would have given it a better name. Fassium or Coulsonium... or at least something better than liver.

Last Wednesday Kyle took me to go country dancing and it was a lot of fun. I'm still rotten at country dancing but it was fun and I only stepped on his feet a few hundred times.

On Friday, we went to Mesa Falls and that place is gorgeous! It's only 45 minutes or so away from Rexburg but at the same time, it's completely different. Green and growing and beautiful waterfalls.

We went on a neat little hike on a trail they had there but we ended up, at one point, leaving the trail and making our own path down to the river where I found a nice log. The journey down to the river was easier than the one up and I've still got the scratches on my legs to prove it. Only one mosquito bite though, I should consider myself lucky. Kyle, not so much. (Note to self, next time: bug spray)

I haven't had much time to bake, cook, or anything, although I am working harder on eating out less. It's gotten pretty bad this semester and I can't even blame it all on my roommates who love to eat out because to be honest, they aren't pressuring me. I just never feel like I have time to sit down and make something. Although, Ashleigh and I did make some Marbled Brioche this week so that she could give a loaf to some friends as a thank you gift.

Prometheus comes out this weekend so an Alien/Aliens marathon might have been held and it was great. This caused me to finally get an account at Crazy Mikes, the local video rental place. I feel like between my collection of DVD's, Netflix and rentals, I should be covered for any movie ever created. 

Something I am very proud of from this week is that in Archery, we have started to get more creative about how and where we shoot instead of just always shooting from the same line in our regular positions. I shot this (almost exact bulls eye) from the clear opposite side of the basketball court, up at the top of the bleachers that they have near the ceiling.

 yeah.

My other classes are going just fine and I actually have a chem exam that I should be studying for.  

I'm going to go do that right now.
