Prometheus was great. Hence the change of photo on the right. Ridley Scott does not disappoint, although there are still a lot of questions to the Alien universe that he left unanswered. He also left it open for a sequel at the end and I am still not sure whether or not that would be something that I would want. Perhaps if we wait another thirty years.
We went and saw it Thursday night, the midnight premiere and the only problem with that was that after not getting back to sleep until 3am, I did not wake up until noon on Friday. First time this semester that I've missed class from sleeping in. (Missing those days from going to Florida does not count) Still, it's not the end of the world because I only have two classes on Friday anyway.
I got a lot done on my extra day off though. Not homework related work but me time, writing and drawing time, which I think is sometimes just as important.
Saturday was free admissions day for Yellowstone National Park this week so drove the few hours up to do that. I haven't been to Yellowstone since I was much younger so it was really nice. Probably should not have stayed up so long the night before because I kept falling asleep every time we got back in the car to drive somewhere else. Still, beautiful colors of the hot pools and such. We saw the Painter''s Pots and the Mammoth Falls. We were going to try to go to Old Faithful but as we were getting done at Mammoth Falls (which were not as flowy as any of us remember. Global Warming or just Yellowstone preparing to blow again?) it started to snow. Yup, happy June to you as well. It was actually snowing quite hard so we called it a day and drove back to Rexburg. Again, we didn't take a single photo. We are the kings and queens of taking zero photos.
