Happy 2012!

Christmas went by fast. Too fast.
First there was my last day at the bar working and then before you knew it, our house was full of family and babies. It was strange. Not a bad kind of strange but a hectic 'it's been a long time since there's been nine people under this roof' kind of strange.

I did make Almond Joy Cookies and I think I liked them a bit more than everyone else.

That's what Santa got this year along with some Dinosaur and Shark shaped sugar cookies. Lucky Santa.

Getting to see everyone was great. Getting to see my nieces was pretty fantastic as well. Not going to lie though, two babies at one time is a lot of work. All my plans to have twins if I ever do have children has fled the Lisa building. It's all good though, I have a feeling being an aunt is going to be good enough for me.

They are pretty cute though, aren't they?

I did reward myself for working so hard during the five month break. I went out and bought myself an iphone 4s. Pretty much a fantastic decision, in case you were wondering. It's white and I named it Jarvis. Don't tell Siri though because she doesn't like the name and gets upset at me every time I call her Jarvis.

As some might already know or assume, I am back in Idaho. My dad drove out with me this year and it was actually a very smooth drive out! There wasn't much bad weather except for some high winds and we made good time. There was some car trouble on the day that we actually drove up to Idaho from my aunt and uncle's house but heck, who doesn't love having to climb through the back of a car to unlock it? Even after all that, my dad still found the time to take me to a Denny's (I had been craving the whole trip out but we never had the time for an actual sit down meal) and I got to eat Arthur Christmas Cookie Pancakes. They were the most delicious things ever. It was like unwrapping a Christmas present with your stomach. Thank you father!

Wednesday was the first day of classes and everything was going great. I had switched my business class for an art class and liked most of my classes and teachers. Then Friday happened. Friday, I made an appointment to talk to my actual academic adviser. I had looked online to see what kind of classes I needed and from what I had read, I was in the right direction taking Botany and Microbiology. I guess not. I'm not anywhere near on track at all. I'm kind of in a lot of trouble as of right now. I have to change my classes this semester but the last day to add/drop a course is this Wednesday and since I found out about this on Friday the weekend is getting in the way from hearing back from professors about allowing me into their classes even though they're already all full up. So at the moment, I really only have two classes. I had to drop Botany, Microbiology and my Culinary Arts class.

Right, hopefully everything works out. Cross your fingers because I know I am.

Other than that though, I like my new apartment. I love having a private room. I finally got everything unpacked and maybe next week will put up some pictures. There's only three of us in the apartment and I'm the oldest. It's weird for me because I'm usually the youngest because of my late birthday but I guess this year is the tipping point. I am now on the downward slide of college. Which can't actually be true because my adviser said I'm probably looking at being here for at least one extra year. My roommates are nice, if not just a bit boy crazy. But out here, that's usually how it is.

I got to go down to Idaho Falls and visit Julie and Joe and meet their new born beautiful baby girl, Alyssa for the first time. She is absolutely adorable and their house that they just moved into is quite nice. At least I like it and I know they do to and that's all that matters.

It's weird being back. I said my final goodbyes to this place last year and to be back and have everything pretty much the same just feels eerie.

Nothing I can't handle. Alles ist gut.
