The great news of the week is that Lorie and Evette got in to Detroit from LA on Friday night. Although by now Lorie has made her way to Finland for the rest of her business trip but it was great to see her while she was here. And we'll still get a few days when she returns. On Saturday, we all went to the Apple Orchard and even though it was freezing cold, it was a lot of fun.
Evette is so tiny... and yet, so big. I'm getting better at referring to her as a 'she' instead of an 'it'. Part of that whole 'it's not real to you until it's actually there' thing. Actually, tonight, I was alone in taking care of her. Between 6:30 and 9pm I was in charge. The house didn't burn down, there were no accidents and everything went better than expected. I even got her to take a nap for an hour or so. Pretty sure I've got this aunt thing down.
Oh yeah, Halloween. I'm guessing everyone's a bit curious about how that all turned out, aren't they? It went great and Evie was a show stopper. If we had gone to a costume party, I'm pretty sure we would have won.
Went trick-or-treating with them after watching The Nightmare Before Christmas and got tons and tons of candy. Although, I'm not sure who's going to eat it seeing as I'm on a diet and Evette can't even eat solid foods yet.
I think I'm going to take up running though and since I can't wake up early enough to do it in the morning, I might take late night runs. That's not weird, right?
Now I'm just rambling.
November is up and I've got a good feeling.
Like how I'm still rambling?

I'm still in awe of your awesome costumes. You rock.
