This weekend in Miami was amazing. Perhaps it was a bit of a pain having to schedule it between school and everything else going on in my life but it was worth it. It was so worth it. I'm getting a head of myself though, I'm going to go through the week in order.
Update: now I’m actually on the plane bound for Salt Lake. The plane from Ft. Lauderdale to Phoenix was actually quite an adventure. There was some sever turbulence and the people around me were very annoying. The man behind me was what I would call a pseudo intellectual. He honestly thought he knew everything about anything and would comment on every aspect of the flight to anyone who would listen. No-one listened to this man but he kept talking all the same. The lady next to me would not mind her own business and kept peering over my shoulder as I read my books, or listened to my music or even wrote my letters to people. I’ve come to accept that this is just how people are and I really ought to stop complaining. It was a good weekend, really. I’m just a bit bitter now that it has come to an end.
As I was saying, this week started out with me going crazy trying to get school stuff out of the way in order to go to Miami for the weekend. Jessica was in Utah for the weekend so she actually drove up all the way from Utah to Idaho to visit me and the time went by way too fast. It seemed like she was gone in just a blink of an eye.
Thursday, was the start of my adventure. I left right after classes and drove down to Provo. Bright and early in the morning, Stephanie was kind enough to drop me off at the airport where I left for Florida! The ride there was not as eventful as the ride back has been. I slept most of the way and then arrived in Ft. Lauderdale where Kat and Ed picked me up and the amazing weekend commenced.
Now, I know you’re thinking. You’re thinking “Lisa, obviously you’ve seen the Avengers. Pray tell, what did you think?” That is an excellent question. Now let me see if I can properly communicate my feelings about the Avengers.

Right, so maybe that will give you a small glimpse of what it was like. It did not disappoint and I urge everyone to see it as soon as you can. There’s a reason that it is has already made more money than Harry Potter, the Deathly Hallows part II on opening weekend.
Right, that’s all I will say at the moment because I don’t want to scare anyone away.
When I got off the plane in Florida, Kat and Ed immediately whisked me away to the movie theater where we watched, you guessed it, the Avengers.
I was pretty tired though, after all that because I had only gotten a few hours of sleep before all my traveling and after the movie, Kat, Ed, his girlfriend, and I went to Stake and Shake to celebrate. I didn’t get to sleep until 2 or 3 that night. We woke up around five in order to leave for Universal! I surprised Kat with my sleeping skills. I don’t think she ever quite believed me when I told her that I can sleep in almost any situation no matter what because I slept the whole way up to the park. All three hours of the trip. I feel slightly bad about that because that could have been really good bonding/talking time but we made up for that plenty later. I’ve never been universal in Florida before. That’s one reason Kat so wanted to take me there because she wanted to show me The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was amazing. I need to get better adjectives. (I should clarify, we only went to Island of Adventure? I don’t know the difference, honestly.)
All I know is that it’s a magical place. We did everything. I got to buy a wand, excuse me, I got to let a wand choose me, and I love it. The geek in me is screaming. Especially since there’s the comic book/super hero land that’s right next to Harry Potter. They have characters that dress up and you can talk to them, get signatures and photos... it was kind of a lot amazing. We got a photo with Captain America who was quite charming with beautiful eyes. We didn’t leave the park until it was about to close. We got dinner and then started the long trek back to Katrina’s. I had decided to try my hardest to stay awake during the drive back but at this point, my brain hurt. I’m not even kidding you, my brain was in pain. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’d been awake for so long that I could feel myself losing years off my life.

Oh hello there, Mr. Really Attractive Captain America
I got to sleep in on Sunday, thank goodness. We kept things pretty low key on that day (haha) and mostly hung out and shenanigans happened. Monday, we woke up, made waffles and joked around making mii’s on the wii. Meaning, now Kat has all the avengers on her wii and everyone from x-men. Ed gave me a ride to the airport and that’s the end of that story. The weekend was way too short and I miss Kat already. It was really hard saying goodbye. I might have strangled her slightly with my hugs.
The funny thing about all this traveling is, I missed sarah by just a few minutes or so. I got into Phoenix around 7pm and my flight out of Phoenix was at 8:10pm. Sarah is heading back to Michigan today and had a flight out around 9pm. We seriously just missed each other.
So yes, I’m on my way back to Idaho.
I’ve had some more time to think about Western’s offer. I think I might go there after all.
Pros:
In Michigan.
Not in Idaho.
It’s a respected university.
I can have an apartment where I can live with Ellie.
They have a good biology department.
It’s a wonderful location, right in the middle between Chicago and home.
They're a university that conducts actual research so that means more chances to have experience before falling into whatever career I eventually fall into.
Cons:
It’s more expensive than Idaho (but let’s be honest, everywhere is more expensive than Idaho)
All my stuff is already in Idaho.
I don’t know anyone there.
I have friends here that I’m quite attached to.
I would only have a few short weeks between semesters.
aosdjflaksdjflaksdjf reasons.
I’m still not completely sure. I’m going to give it another week or so especially since they’re sending me information about what classes will transfer and which ones won’t.
It was great to have this mini vacation but now we’re about to land and I must take my leave. I’m probably going to pay for this over the next couple days. For now, though, I’m just going to enjoy the bliss that is still left over.
