Let's stop ignoring the elephant in the room and just say it. Valentines Day was this week.

Now, I'm not a total cynic. I could be one of those people who hate Valentines Day because I'm single. I could be one of those people who call it 'Single Awareness Day'. I could be one of those people who spit upon every heart I see during February. I could be, but I am not any of these things. Valentines Day is just a day, whether you have someone to share it with or not. Even if it has become a corporate fueled holiday, you have to admit it's a nice idea; a day to show your appreciation and love. This Valentines Day, I went to go see Star Wars: Episode I in 3D with Mary. Laugh all you want about Episode I being crap but it was still pretty cool. Both Mary and I agreed that it wasn't as bad as we remembered it to be. I actually don't mind 3D when it's not pop-out-at-you 3D. I prefer when it's just there to enhance the viewing experience, makes it feel more real. I don't appreciate movies such as 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' where they put the camera in obscure angles or make the actors move in awkward ways in order to give the audience some cheap 3D.

I really need a haircut at this point. I'm starting to look a bit like Justin Bieber again since it's been a month and a half since my last haircut. The haircut's going to have to wait a few more weeks though because it's not in my budget. Until then, I will just continue to complain about needing a haircut. It's interesting that whenever I mention that I need a haircut, whoever I'm speaking to will automatically respond with 'Oh, so you're keeping it short then?'
umm.... yeah?
I don't understand, why are people so surprised by that? Are they just waiting for me to grow my hair out again? It's only been short for a few months. I love it short. I don't plan on growing it out any time soon. I guess I can just chock this up to another thing I don't understand about people. Just why?

As a public service announcement, I just thought I ought to let everyone know that cereal with water is disgusting. I really wanted cereal the other morning but I've been out of milk and I'm trying to put off going shopping again until next month (only ten more days to survive). I thought to myself, "Liquid is liquid! It won't be that bad!" It was that bad. It was that bad and worse. I felt ill all day.

On a completely different note, I have been craving pie and pancakes from Denny's constantly for the last couple days. It's driving me insane!

Fun news, I'm posting from Utah. I took a friends advice to get away for the long weekend. I'm glad I did because it's been nice seeing family and then spending most of Saturday with Stephanie. We saw Muppets and made red velvet cupcakes.

P.s. While we were at the movies, we found something amazing. A Tron pinball machine. It should probably be embarrassing how excited I got over it but I couldn't help it. I'm not really that good at pinball. I lost pretty quickly but still. Tron. Tron.
