Not been avoiding this, just haven't had time to write with Father's day. Working open to close as usual on holidays. I'm not complaining, money is money. Celebrated father's day on Saturday instead. Mum and dad were kind enough to drive all the way out to spend the morning and afternoon with me even though it would be a quick visit because I even had to work that evening. We saw Man of Steel and it was good. It was fantastic. Actually, I couldn't stop grinning all the way through the credits. I've never been much of a Superman kind of gal. Sure, he's super alright but it always seemed kinda cheating to be wonderful at everything. He was just too super. Well, maybe I'll have to reconsider all of that because man oh man did Henry Cavill do a wonderful job. Oh yeah, and there was that too. Ha.

It's really only been the last couple of weeks that I've truly noticed how quieter around town and around campus it is now that it's summer. I never quite understood when Mary would mention that she loved being at school during semester breaks but now I do. There's something about still being somewhere when everyone else is away on vacation. It's like you get your own vacation by default without having to leave. Maybe I wish I'd figured this out sooner.

I've been doing a lot of baking (not to mention the banana bread I made tonight in procrastination over homework) but because of work. This pleases me. I've been telling people for weeks that all they have to do is tell me what they want and I'll make it for them. No strings attached. Any excuse to bake something and then not have to eat them all myself. Plus the benefit of having tons of people tell me how much they like it. I will admit that I do get a little complement high from that. Everyone seemed hesitant at first but I think they're finally realizing that I'll make good on my word. I made brownie roll out cookies for Alicia's birthday. I don't know what else to call them, or really how to describe them. Except delicious. Actually, no. You know what they're like? They're like the chocolate cookie part of an ice cream sandwich. They are exactly like that only perhaps just a wee bit thicker. Yum.

Since then, everyone's been clamoring to put in a request. You'd think that the donuts would have done it (I mean hello, I'm will to make donuts for you people!?) but no, it was the brownie cookies. Whatever floats ya'll boats.

SO GONNA POST BEFORE MIDNIGHT SO THE TITLE AND DATE ARE CORRECT OH YEAH CUTTING IT SHORT OBVIOUSLY THERE ISN'T ANYTHING CRAZY TO UPDATE IN MY LIFE EXCEPT THAT I LOOKED UP BUTT SHAPED COOKIE CUTTERS AND THERE ARE UNFORTUNATELY NO RESULTS? AND NO I DON'T WANT TO DO THE WHOLE HEARTS INTO BUTTS THING. I WANT A LEGIT BUTT COOKIE CUTTER.
